E-Safety

Safe and responsible use of the internet is something which is  growing in importance and as children are spending more and more time on line it is important that we educate them in how to stay safe . E-safety is a key part of our curriculum for both Computing and Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE).

During our Healthy Schools Week in October all the children had an e-safety session with an ICT consultant. As a follow up we held a parent workshop in November where advice was given on how to keep your child safe on the internet and raise awareness of cyber bullying and potential dangers of gaming on line.

At St John's, we know how important staying safe is, and we know you’re always keen to promote ways to stay safe at home so please do take an active approach at home to promote your child’s online safety.
