Sports Premium
What is the Sports Premium?
Sports Premium is an amount of money which the government has agreed to allocate to schools. The funding amount schools receive is based upon the number of children of primary age the school has.
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.
This means that schools should use the premium to:
- develop or add to the PE and sport activities that the school already offers
- make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years
At St John’s Primary School, we strive to promote healthy and active lifestyles and aim to promote sporting opportunities for all our pupils.
