In science we will be exploring rocks, looking at a range of rock samples. We will discuss igneous and sedimentary (plus metamorphic) rocks. We will be taking part in a range of activities including testing hardness of rocks, sorting rocks, finding information, drawing rocks & finding out how pebbles & sand are formed.
We will be studying Dover and what it has to offer as a tourist destination, creating a leaflet to encourage new visitors. Our art will take the shape of views of Dover using the media of chalk and charcoal to create them.
In RE we will be looking at a variety of Holy books and discussing their similarities and differences including history of the Bible, understanding how important they are to the people who study them and that we should respect Holy books from all religions.
We will be introducing our ‘times tables challenge’, where we need to beat our own score recalling our 2, 5, 3, 4. We will be continuing to work on place value, addition and subtraction of three digit numbers.
